In Stokk you compare your portfolio with your friends **in percent instead of euros**. That is what the leaderboard in the Friends tab is for. You see who is ahead over a period without anyone having to show amounts.

## How to compare

1. Add your positions ([Share your portfolio](/en/wiki/share-portfolio)).
2. Add friends. Once a request is accepted, you can see each other's portfolios.
3. Open the leaderboard in the Friends tab and pick a period: today, week, month or year.

Stokk ranks the portfolios by return in percent. You are on the list too. Below it you see your friends' positions, sorted from best to worst investment, and for each stock, who in your circle holds it.

## Why percent?

Percentages make portfolios of different sizes comparable. They also mean nobody has to reveal euro amounts. With "Hide amounts" (on by default), friends see no invested amount and no position sizes, only the make-up, return in percent and the shape of the value chart ([Hide amounts](/en/wiki/hide-amounts)).

## Limits

- You maintain your positions yourself. Stokk does not connect to bank or brokerage accounts.
- Prices are current and can be slightly delayed.
- A comparison is not a recommendation. Stokk does not give investment advice ([No investment advice](/en/wiki/no-investment-advice)).
